Checklist
In order to apply for your permanent residency, you need the following documents with a Hague Apostille, a consular legalization is not required. Please consider that depending on your country, these documents take several weeks.
Birth Certificate
Mandatory for everyone
Depending on your contry, you can request your birth certificate from the health department of the state you were born in or your local authorities.
Police Certificate
Mandatory for everyone over age 14
You can request your police certificate from the Department of Justice. Your certificate should be free of criminal records. If you have any criminal records, please provide court documents. The police certificate can not be older than 6 months.
Qualification
Only for permanent residency
To complete the permanent residency application, you will need to provide a proof of qualification. This can be a university degree, an apprenticeship diploma or any other form of training, education or qualification. You don’t need this document when applying for your temporary 2 year residency.
Marriage Certificate
Only when appicable
If you are married, you need to provide a marriage certificate. Depending on your country, you can request your marriage certificate from your local authorities or the local authorities where you married.
Divorce Certificate
Only when appicable
If you are divorced, you need to provide a divorce certificate. Depending on your country, you can request your divorce certificate from your local authorities or from the local authorities where you got divorced.
Death Certificate
Only when appicable
If your wife or husband died, you need to provide a death certificate. Depending on your country, you can request a death certificate from your local authorities or from the local authorities where your partner died.
